Environmental Studies Field Work

Our Environmental Studies Program upperclassmen were involved in a "marsh study" near the Karen Noonan Environmental Education Center, a twenty-acre marsh habitat in southern Dorchester County.  The Center was once one of the great Chesapeake Bay hunting lodges, renovated to its new purpose in 1995.  This is one of about five remote and spectacular Bay locations we use in our Program.

This intensive three-day study on the Chesapeake is undertaken in conjunction with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and fulfills the field requirement for our Environmental Studied Certificate Program.  Faculty leaders pictured here are Mr. Paul O'Hearn and Ms. Pam Demske.
