St. Mary’s LAX Volunteers in the Community

For the fourth year in a row, the St. Mary’s Boys’ Lacrosse team has come together to volunteer with the Annapolis Run for The Light House, a homeless prevention support center.

Head Coach Victor Lilly has been the driving force to encourage the team’s volunteer efforts. This year 42 members of the team along with several St. Mary’s parishioners gathered at Quiet Waters Park to help out. Volunteers staffed the registration desk, assisted runners at many locations along the route and provided water to the runners.

Through sponsorships and registration fees, the event raised more than $50,000 for The Light House. Runners ranged in age from eight to 81 and represented 14 different states.

Many thanks to Coach Lilly and the Lacrosse team for their work in helping make the Light House fundraiser a tremendous success.
