Archdiocese of Baltimore Catholic Schools
From Archdiocese of Baltimore Catholic Schools' Press Release:

Dr. Donna Hargens, Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Archdiocese of Baltimore, made a surprise visit to St. Mary’s High School in Annapolis today, to deliver the news that Mrs. Kaitlyn Marsh, St. Mary’s High School AP & Honors Global Geography and Honors U.S. Historyteacher, has been named the 2019 Archdiocesan High School Teacher of the Year.
Mrs. Marsh was chosen by the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s Teacher of the Year Committee, which included Department of Catholic Schools staff and Archdiocese of Baltimore School Board representatives. The committee selected Mrs. Karn from the Archdiocesan high school Teacher of the Year nominees, all of whom were the recipients of their school’s 2019 Teacher of the Year award. The decision was based on each nominee’s demonstration of Catholic identity, innovative instruction, professionalism, and leadership, as well as classroom observations, and interviews.
“Kaitlyn Marsh epitomizes what it means to be a Catholic Educator in the Archdiocese of Baltimore,” said Dr. Hargens, Superintendent of Catholic Schools.  “After having students center their learning in Christ by praying, at St. Mary’s High School in Annapolis, Mrs. Marsh facilitates Social Studies lessons that are relevant, engaging, and that expect students to utilize higher-order thinking skills.”
Mrs. Marsh has 5 years of teaching experience and also serves as the varsity field hockey coach and chess club moderator. She holds a Bachelor of Science in History from St. Mary's College of Maryland and a Master of Arts in Education and Secondary Social Studies Curriculum & Instruction from The College of William & Mary.
According to Mrs. Marsh, St. Mary’s High School has “enriched her life in ways that are hard to put into words.” She knows that it is “God’s will for her to teach, mentor, coach, and support her students in high school.”
