Nothing But Treble

Nothing But Treble is St. Mary’s High School’s all-female a cappella group.  Since its founding in 2011, Nothing But Treble has hosted school concerts, performed the national anthem at various events, and participated in the Maryland Hall A Cappella Showcase as an opening act for collegiate and professional groups. Annual traditions also include Christmas caroling during Midnight Madness in Annapolis and competing in the International Championship for High School A Cappella (ICHSA). Nothing But Treble was honored to have a track from their debut EP This Time selected for the BOHSA (Best of High School A Cappella) compilation album 2016 and was proud to release of their second EP “Rise” in 2017. The group performs all of its music without any instrumental accompaniment – everything comes from the human voice alone. Interested singers and vocal percussionists must successfully complete an entrance audition demonstrating their vocal and auditory skills, but no prior knowledge of music theory is required. Throughout the year, students will develop a diverse repertoire of a cappella music and will perform in concerts both in and out of school.

Nothing But Treble released their debut EP, “This Time,” in October 2015. The tracks on this release were recorded in June 2015 and feature members of the group from 2014-2015. Two of the three tracks on the EP were also part of the group’s competition set when they participated in the 2015 ICHSA.

“This Time” is available through various digital distribution platforms. You can buy your copy on iTunes, Google Play, or Loudr, or listen now on Spotify!
