Open Positions - High School

MATH TEACHER/COMPUTER SCIENCE TEACHER
St. Mary's High School announces an opening for a Math/Computer Science Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time position involves teaching a combination of math and computer science courses. Specifically, the candidate must be capable of teaching Algebra I and II, Geometry, and Trigonometry as well as introductory computer science courses for freshmen. Math and/or Computer Science degrees required. St. Mary’s High School is a Catholic, co-ed, college-preparatory school of 500+ students. Candidates should have an active faith life and an informed understanding of the mission of the Roman Catholic Church and the many ways in which that mission applies to the formation of young men and women in a Catholic school setting. 

Qualifications:           
  • Bachelor’s degree in Math and/or Computer Science.
  • A valid teacher certification in Maryland, or a willingness to pursue this certification.  
  • Proficient with iPad technology and comfortable with technology use as it relates to teaching duties.
  • Master’s Degree, preferred.
  • High school teaching experience is preferred.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS
St. Mary’s High School is in need of substitute teachers, with immediate openings available.

Our substitutes are a vital part of the daily flow of academic learning for our students. When teachers are unable to be present in the classroom, our substitutes may be contacted in advance of the day, or the morning of the day, when we need their assistance.

When need arises it could be for part of a day or an entire day, and those working for us as subs accept and decline as their schedule allows. If you have a flexible schedule and are interested in giving your time to a worthy cause, please consider becoming a substitute for us.

Employment Opportunities - Elementary School

Middle School Science Teacher
St. Mary’s Elementary School is seeking two middle school Science Teachers for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a full-time faculty position in a Catholic, coeducational setting in grades 6-8. 

Qualifications: 
Bachelor's Degree, required. 
A valid MSDE certification, or a willingness to pursue this certification is required. 
Middle School teaching experience is preferred.
