Student Life

We are gearing up for another exciting year of basketball action here at SMES! While our basketball program is for all students, boys and girls, in Grades 6, 7 and 8, team assignments are determined by age eligibility as outlined by the Anne Arundel County Department of Parks and Recreation. The date on which your child’s birthday falls (not the grade) determines his/her team assignment.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact John Buzzelli. GO SAINTS!

Cross Country

Boys and Girls of the incoming grades 6, 7 and 8 get your running shoes on! St. Mary’s Coed Cross Country team is ready to run.  We will be competing against members of the Chesapeake Scheduling Co-op which includes, but is not limited to, Severn School, Key School, Indian Creek, and School of the Incarnation.

The Cross Country team will be coached by Mrs. Julie O’Malley with assistance from Mr. John Buzzelli and Mrs. Eleanor Manning. Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school.
“Running is the greatest metaphor for life, because you get out of it what you put into it.”
