The St. Mary's Tuition Assistance Program

Thanks to the generosity of St. Mary’s Parish and donors to our Fleur-de-Lis fund, St. Mary’s Elementary School is able to offer tuition assistance to eligible parishioner families. To help determine eligibility for tuition assistance, St. Mary’s uses a third-party service: FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment. Financial Aid Forms can be completed beginning November 1. They are completed through the FACTS Grant and Aid website.

Financial Aid Information

List of 5 frequently asked questions.

  • What is Financial Aid?

Financial Aid is tuition assistance provided for families who demonstrate financial need to offset the cost of tuition.  Financial Aid awards are available to all families that qualify.
  • Should our family apply for financial aid?

Parishioners who feel that the tuition and educational fees may be a hardship to their family budget should apply for financial aid. There are many factors affecting eligibility for financial aid and therefore you should apply for aid, even if you think you don't qualify. You will be notified of potential awards in February.
  • How is our family's financial need determined?

FACTS compares your income and your expenses and based on a set calculation/analysis that every family goes through comes up with a recommended need amount for each family.  Based upon that need St. Mary’s allocates a certain percentage of financial aid utilizing available budgeted funds.
  • Who will see the information provided by FACTS to the school?

FACTS receives all tax information from each family. FACTS will do their review of all documentation provided. The documentation provided by the applicant is imaged upon receipt by FACTS and then destroyed for security purposes. St. Mary’s tuition office will review the information provided as needed to determine financial need for each family.
  • Can you consider our application for financial aid if we have not provided all the information requested?

FACTS requires all documentation to be received before they can complete their review which is needed in order for St. Mary’s to determine the need for each family. The verification process can take up to 14 days or longer.
