Putting Our Faith into Action

We strive to live out the Gospel message, “What you did for the least of my people, you did for Me.” (Matt 25:40) Here at St. Mary's, we want to cultivate not only a heart for Christ and His Church, but also a heart for Service. Service allows us to put our faith into Action. We want our students to learn that when we serve others, we don’t expect to receive anything back (Luke 6.) We cultivate this by practicing the corporal and spiritual works of Mercy.

Corporal Works of Mercy

Feed the hungry
Give drink to the thirsty
Clothe the naked
Shelter the homeless
Visit the sick
Visit the imprisoned
Bury the dead

Service in Action

Spiritual Works of Mercy

Admonish the Sinner
Instruct the ignorant
Counsel the doubtful
Comfort the sorrowful
Bear wrongs patiently
Forgive all injuries
Pray for the living and the dead
