St. Mary's Teacher Raises Awareness and Funds for Connect Rwanda Through Yoga

On National Teachers Day, St. Mary’s English teacher, Carey Ross, moved by the resilience of the teachers in Rwanda, Africa, and the work of Connect Rwanda, donated her time to teach a Yoga class on State Circle. The class raised awareness and funds for Connect Rwanda. Fellow St. Mary’s teachers and students—including members of one of St. Mary’s newest clubs, the Global Citizenship club, attended the event. Connect Rwanda’s primary objectives are to bring technology to the classrooms of Rwanda, promote teacher growth and cultural understanding through collaboration, and to foster goodwill in the World.
