Middle School Faith Formation

“Remember that you are never alone, Christ is with you on your journey every day of your lives! He has called you and chosen you to live in the freedom of the children of God. Turn to Him in prayer and in love. Ask Him to grant you the courage and strength to live in this freedom always. Walk with Him who is ‘the Way, the Truth and the Life." St. John Paul II

St. Mary’s Faith Formation Program for Middle School students, grades 6, 7, and 8, builds understanding and appreciation for what the Catholic Church teaches and believes, and helps young people see how our Catholic faith can be applied to and transform their daily lives.

Here at St. Mary’s, we understand that aspects of faith can be taught and experienced in a great variety of ways. Therefore, this year in Middle School Faith Formation, we will not be holding morning classes on the monthly dates when our EDGE, Middle School Youth Ministry, is being offered. Rather, on those dates, students are encouraged to experience their faith through our growing and vibrant Youth Ministry Program. This will allow students to participate in the 5 pm Youth Mass at St. John Neumann Church, join us for pizza afterward, and enjoy EDGE with their peers. Check out our EDGE tab for more information.

We look forward to having you with us, all are welcome

Program Details

  • Sessions are held on Sunday mornings from 9:00 to 10:10 AM at St. Mary's High School
  • Our new materials from Pflaum will incorporate the upcoming Sunday readings to teach the many aspects and treasures of our Catholic Faith. Students and parents will be provided great resources to use after each lesson, as well as the online resources provided on this page. This way, with all levels of Faith Formation using this series, entire families will benefit from growing in faith together.
  • Young people who have not received the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist or Reconciliation should contact the Faith Formation office to arrange for special sessions to prepare them for reception of the sacraments.
Use our easy online registration to register each student, and pay online; or print off registration forms and send them in with your check to Colleen Mitsopoulos, Faith Formation Office at St. Mary’s Church. You may also call Colleen for more information.
