Our Vicar, Rev. Andrew Costello, C.Ss.R.
Father Andy Costello was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He’s the youngest of four kids. He became a Redemptorist in 1960. He was ordained a priest in 1965 by Cardinal Spellman. He has worked as a priest on the Lower East Side of New York, as well as at two Redemptorist Retreat Houses. Before coming here to Annapolis to work as a parish priest, he was stationed in Lima, Ohio – where he preached many parish missions and retreats around the country. He served as Novice Master for future Redemptorists, for 9 years in Wisconsin and upstate NY. He has 3 Master’s Degrees – two from New York State University and one from Princeton Theological Seminary. In his spare time he has written 5 books (all out of print) many articles for various Catholic magazines as well as a blog on St. Mary’s website, “Reflections by the Bay."Rev. Ronald Bonneau, C.Ss.R.
Father Ronald Bonneau was born in Hanover, NH and grew up in Bradford, VT. His family was very involved in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, which was served by the Redemptorists. After graduating from high school he went to the minor seminary of the Redemptorists in North East, PA, to the novitiate in Ilchester, MD, to study philosphy at St. Alphonsus College in Suffield, CT and to Mt. St. Alphonsus in Esopus, NY to study theology. He made first vows in Ilchester, MD in August of 1965, was ordained to the priesthood on June 20, 1971 at Esopus. His first assignment was to the missions in Paraguay, South America from 1972 until 1996. After returning to the States, he served in New York City in two different parishes until 2008, and then was assigned to be co-director of Hispanic Ministry in the Diocese of Metuchen, NJ. In 2014, he went toToronto Canada to serve as Assistant Novice Director for the Redemptorist North American Novitiate. Due to a lack of novices, he received his appointment to St. Mary’s, Annapolis. He asked that you please pray for vocations. Rev. Luyen Dau, C.Ss.R.
Father Luyen Dau was born and grew up in Vietnam and is the youngest of 9 children. In 1993, his family moved to Calgary, Canada, and when he graduated from High School in 1998, he moved to New York to join the Redemptorists of the Baltimore Province and took his first religious vows as a Redemptorist in 2011 three days before the September 11 tragedy. He was ordained a priest at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington DC in 2008, and his first assignment was in Philadelphia serving the Vietnamese community at Visitation Parish. He has been on loan to the Diocese of Victoria, BC, Canada serving at St. Andrew's Cathedral and as a pastor at St. Edward’s Parish in Duncan, BC. He has also served at St. Clement's Parish in Saratoga Springs, New York. On August 1, 2017, he was transferred to St. Mary’s.Rev. Patrick Flynn, C.Ss.R.
Father Flynn is currently spending time with family in South Africa.Rev. Charles Hergenroeder, C.Ss.R.Father Charlie Hergenroeder was ordained in 1973. He spent many years ministering in Brazil before being assigned to St. Mary’s. He currently works with engaged couples preparing for marriage and with the Hispanic RCIA.
Rev. Joseph Krastel, C.Ss.R.Rev. Miguel Martinez, C.Ss.R.Rev. David Verghese, C.Ss.R.
Father David Verghese was born in Silver Spring, MD and grew up in Leonardtown, MD with two older brothers and a younger sister. He professed final vows as a Redemptorist on Oct. 11, 2013 in Boston and was ordained to the priesthood on May, 31, 2014 at St. John Neumann in Annapolis. Fr. Verghese is currently serving St. Mary's Parish in his first assignment.
