Young Apostles: High School Youth Ministry

“This is what is needed: a Church for young people, which will know how to speak to their heart, and enkindle, comfort, and inspire enthusiasm in it with the joy of the Gospel and the strength of the Eucharist…” (St. Pope John Paul II, 1995)

What is Young Apostles: High School Youth Ministry? We are a Eucharist-centered ministry at St. Mary’s Church, leading teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. With the Blessed Virgin Mary as our intercessor and guide, we provide opportunities for all high school young people to grow in their faith, find fellowship with peers, serve others in our community with love and care, and discover the fullness of the Sacramental power present within the young Church!

Applying COVID restrictions of social distancing and mask wearing this year, we will meet once a month on Sunday evenings after the 4:30 p.m. Youth Mass, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in Seelos Hall at St. John Neumann Church. We will begin our evening with pizza, and enjoy fun social, service, and spiritual activities together, supporting one another other and learning how to put our faith into practice.

All high school students and their friends are welcome!

Youth Mass

Every Sunday evening at 4:30 p.m., St. John Neumann holds a Youth Mass. All families, particularly those with middle school and high school students, and all young adults are encouraged to attend. If you would like to help with the Youth Mass as a Lector or volunteer usher, call Natalie Pronio at 410-990-4041.
