Catholic Sacraments: Vehicles of Grace

The seven sacraments are Christ’s own gifts that provide us with His grace, and are fundamental in living the Catholic Faith. The Church describes them as “outward signs of inward grace, instituted by Christ, for our salvation.”

It is a most joyous time for families when young people, upon completing their two years of preparation, receive their sacraments! St. Mary’s Faith Formation Program, in following the Archdiocesan guidelines, offers two year sacrament preparation programs for the sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion, and Confirmation. These formative years are opportunities for the entire family to grow closer to Christ, to His Church, and to one another in truly meaningful ways.

Be assured of our daily prayers for all families as you prepare to receive Jesus’ gifts of divine grace!

Rite of Christian Initiation for Children and Teens

The Rite of Christian Initiation adapted for Children, and Teens introduces children and youth in 3rd grade or higher, who have not received the Sacraments of Baptism and/or Reconciliation & Eucharist and who have had little or no catechesis, to Catholicism and prepares them to receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation) and Reconciliation.
Children and teens who are seeking a fuller relationship with God through the Catholic Church are invited to participate in our Rite of Christian Initiation adapted for children (RCIC) sessions, or in our Rite of Christian Initiation for teens sessions, which will be held via Zoom this year due to COVID restrictions. All parents and siblings are welcome to join us for these classes as well. A celebration of entrance into our Catholic Christian Community takes place at the Easter Vigil after many months of prayer, study and spiritual formation. Contact Karen Bruskewicz if you are interested in joining us.

Come join us, Jesus waits for you here!
