Knitting Ministry
Do you enjoy knitting or crocheting, and making new friends? Come join the Knitting Group on Mondays from 12:30 to 2:30 PM, in Seelos Hall. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month to make warm hats, mittens, scarves and other items for those in need.
The Knitting Ministry has been very active in providing donations of knitted good to local charities. They have supported Sarah’s House, the Light House Shelter, and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. They have also made baby blankets, hats, and sweaters for Birthright of Annapolis. They have knitted hats and scarves to sell at the Pumpkin Patch fundraiser, donated hats to a group of homeless adults in the Pasadena area, and made scarves for the Breast Cancer Center at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
For the second consecutive year, they are very pleased to have partnered with the Backback Buddies ministry of Heritage Baptist Church to provide seventy-five hats, eight scarves, and eight pairs of gloves for the local school children served by this program.
Their giving has extended even beyond state borders--they provided hats and scarves for disadvantaged school children at the Andrew Street School in Naugatuck, CT.
All are welcome to join this ministry, including beginners.
