Volunteering at St. Mary's

The Archdiocese of Baltimore and St. Mary’s Schools and Parish are committed to providing a safe environment for children and youth. If you wish to volunteer at any of our entities please follow the procedures listed below.

Applicants 18 Years of Age and Above

• Complete the Archdiocese of Baltimore Application for Volunteer Service.  All volunteer service in the Archdiocese of Baltimore must be listed on the application.  If an applicant has served at another Archdiocese of Baltimore school or parish, the supervisor of the most recent site MUST be used for the personal reference.
• Review A Statement of Policy for the Protection of Children & Youth.
• Review the Code of Conduct for Church Personnel.
• Have three Reference Check Forms completed by the references listed on the application.
• Complete the VolunteerSelect Criminal History Screening Form.  This form must be updated every 5 years.
• Complete the STAND Online Training and print a Certificate of Completion with the applicant’s name printed on it along with your test scores.  Please allow 1.5 – 2 hours to complete this training at a computer that has a printer.  To access the online training for adults go to STAND training on the Archdiocese of Baltimore Child and Youth Protection website:  http://childsafeeducation.org/baltimore-archdiocese.html

2. The username is: stmaryannapolis (Note: no ‘s’)
3. The password is: archbalt.
4. Click on the link to begin training.
5. Follow the directions on the online training website.

Applicants 14-17 Years of Age

• Complete the Archdiocese of Baltimore Application for Volunteer Service.  Have a parent or guardian sign the application next to the minor’s signature. 
• Review A Statement of Policy for the Protection of Children & Youth.
• Review the Code of Conduct for Church Personnel.
• Have three Reference Check Forms completed by the references listed on the application.
• Receive age appropriate child and youth protection training through the Office of Youth Ministry at our Parish.

Completed forms and certificates should be turned in to the following:

• For Elementary School applicants - Elementary School Office, Attn:  Megan Back
• For High School applicants - High School Office, Attn: Judy Bremmerman
• For all other Parish Ministries, Religious Education and Youth Ministry – St. Mary’s Church Office, Attn:  Candice de Falco
