Arts at St. Mary’s
Fine and Performing Arts are important aspects of life at St. Mary’s High School. These areas of artistic expression and study are actively cultivated both in and outside the classroom. Students enrich their lives and the lives of others through courses like Art 1 through AP Studio Art 2D; Ceramics; Chorus (A Capella Singing); Public Speaking; and Cinematic Art. Additionally students expand by participating in local art shows, plein air painting in downtown Annapolis, recitals, and theatrical productions for the public.
The Arts are formally celebrated during “Fine Arts Week” which includes a Student art show, dance, musical performances, and Drama Productions.
More than 20% of St. Mary’s students participate in the Fine and Performing Arts annually.
